Train to Play – Learn how to train your dog while you play. Work on recalls, distractions and walking on leash while playing games. 6 weeks

Putting on the Ritz Grooming Class – Learn basic grooming techniques to keep your dog looking his or her best. Topics covered will be nail clipping, coat brushing, teeth brushing, coat trimming, plus much more.

Run, Jump & Fetch- A motivationally shaped retrieve is taught. Practice on low level jumps will be offered. We will teach target touch and dog-to-dog manners. Fast, reliable recalls are stressed.

Self Control Class – Is your teenage dog still unruly? This class covers impulse control and teaching your young dog how to relax. Learn canine massage techniques. 6 weeks – Fee $150

PLAYGROUPS

Teenage Dog Playgroup – This playgroup is for dogs 6 -18 months and must be referred by a professional dog trainer or be evaluated by a For Your Canine staff member. The cost is $12 for the 1.5 hour session. Pre-registration is required.

Small Dog Playgroup – This group is for the little ones 25lbs and under and any age. Little your little ones run, play and socialize in a safe environment.

Tracking is the most natural thing you dog can dog. The sense of smell is developed first and the last thing your senior dog can do. Tracking is a great way to build on you and your dog's relationship. Our tracking class meets on Sunday mornings at 7:30 a.m., weather permitting. Contact us for additional information.

Our four week long agility mini classes work on one specific agility skill. The mini classes are:

Weave Poles - this class works on solving common weaving problems such as slow weave, popping out, getting distracted and much more.

Contacts - this class works on solving the "scary yellow syndrome". Using methods to up your individual dog conquer his contact issues.

Jumping - teaching your dog to jump properly and problem solve is critical in agility. Jumping is a major part of running an agility course.  

Crosses (Rear, front, etc) - learn how and when to use crosses. Teaching your dogs to recognize crosses is emphasized.

Rally obedience combines agility and obedience to give your dogs new skills. Dogs should possess some obedience skills before starting this class. The object of Rally is to complete a course with obedience signs. In this class you will learn how to correctly perform each sign with your dog. This class is great for dogs of all ages.

This class combines your dogs love of tennis balls and high energy. Flyball provides exercise while having a good time. We teach you dog have to hit the box and obtain the tennis ball and running back over the hurdles as fast as possible. Flyball gives your high energy pooch an outlet.

Stan Matsumoto, a top handler, is the instructor. Stan teaches you how to effectively show any dog, any breed. You will learn how to highlight your dogs assets to help you win in the ring. 

Classes are every Monday at 7:00 p.m.
